The other night at my independent film theatre I saw the movie 'Seraphina'. It really was wonderful. This actress was amazing and the story was amazing, as well.
IT MIGHT GET LOUD...wonderful! I knew they were geniuses. I knew they were cutting edge and breaking new ground all along. I LOVED them, as did millions of my baby boomer generation amigos.
I don't know who put this together or how long it took or any details other than I know a huge number of people who will really dig it.
This says it all. For me. Today. Now. In this moment. I don't think I can embed this or I would have. Thank you Michelle.
I don't consider it a black comedy, rather I consider it a political art film because the hypocrisy of the powerful is transparent....the innocently curious are not as dirty as those who seek to destroy it. The truth of this film is not
I just saw a great movie at the Capri tonite. Bill Maher's Religulous is really, really great. It is too fast in some spots and drags in some spots but mostly it is a great show. I remember questioning when I was a child and being told to not be logical, but to have faith that what was told to me was true. I had problems with the illogic of it all. Finally, someone makes a movie raising all the points I learned from reading Joseph Campbell, learned from Biology and Archaeology, and learned after becoming a UU. Official Movie Site "Religulous"
I saw this movie last night. It was wonderfu. I was glued to my chair. I had to go see this movie because I was totally fed up with election news, and needed to just enjoy something. This was the best thing I ever thought of. It was great.
Got an email that a film "The Visitor" was being shown at a local college so I saw it last night. Perfect movie to show how unjustly our USA can work (or not work) and how much we can gain by putting the right structures (laws) in place to allow intelligent, creative, productive, and honest immigrants a legal entry to contribute and build our society. Immigrants are creating problems only because we have not set up an infrastructure (which would employ people) to ease the transitions. Politicians are paid to think ahead, plan, coordinate and enable transitions for the good of the country. All border cities would benefit without the need for a concrete wall.
