He told me he was a gamer and played dominoes online and had a yahoo
account and I said, "HEY, I HAVE TO TAKE YOUR PICTURE!!!"
He was telling me about how he knew CAD. We chatted.
SUNDAYS AT KRYSTALS ON ATLANTA HIGHWAY IS A GREAT
PLACE TO MEET people while you are geeking out on their free wi-fi hotspot.

Okay, so New Jersey accents attract one another, even after having not lived in New Jersey ( since 1960)

Glen Turner in Alabama

GLEN TURNER did achieve the fastest crossing of America but here are a few Big Caveats.

1) He chose to complete this crossing with a vehicle to carry all gear (130 lbs) which allowed him to coast on the down hills (still had to push it uphill) consequently he did not run the entire time.

2) He could also scoot by pushing with one foot and resting the other on a support bar.

3) He chose a southern route that is much shorter than the more traditional routes that are around 3100 miles.

The fastest crossing of the US was 47 days averaging 67 miles per day this was done fully supported with a crew. The fastest crossing Unsupported, was 56 days averaging 45 miles per day. Glen Turner crossed in 37 days and averaged 71 miles per day.

His achievement was amazing and extremely challenging but not "pure" running. It is a new form of enhanced foot travel.

Some school groups ran with Glen "Virtually" in a relay that was posted on the Internet. They communicated during the event with blogs (written, video, & pod casts), and conference calls.Next time he intends to do it with live streaming video in the Trans Europe Foot Race April '09.

This minister gave one of the most impressive talks I ever heard ranking as high as the Ware Lecture in my opinion.

I did go to General Assembly this year.

Washington Magnet H.S. Class of 2003 and University of Alabama Class of 2007. NOT the actress in the U.K. and Not the Washington intern.
